FeatherLight 700 Kit

Awesome piece of kit. Incredibly light, windproof, stable and compact. My new favourite backpacking stove.

Really happy with this light and compact cook kit. Pot is the right size and flame totally protected. Thought it may not take the weight of a full pot but the design is up to it. Very happy

I used my new Featherlight 700 for the first time last night on a wild camp in the Peak District. It performed perfectly for me. I was able to make hot drinks, and fit a British Military main meal ration pouch in the Toaks pan and heat it up. Overall 5 stars from me. It's efficient, super light weight and high quality. What's not to like.

A very compact and light stove that performs very well, even with a full fuel bottle it is still quite light. All the parts fit neatly inside the pot with room to spare for a lighter and small dish cloth. I found it very easy to put together first time and the pot size is great for solo backpacking use. Boils water reasonably quickly, using bioethanol, and I like the non-spill nature of the burner. The shield not only directs the heat onto the pot but also provides a good amount of protection from the wind.

I didn't really need another stove, but this was so simple and so packable I had to get it. I ordered both size bottles to give me options. I was impressed with the speedy delivery and great communication with Seb. It looks and works as expected. I found it simple to assemble, and easy to use.
I cooked six giant frozen fish fingers outside on a breezy day. Admittedly it took almost hour to cook, and three fuel refills. But I'm not disappointed, alcohol stoves are not the quickest way of cooking as we know. The food was perfectly cooked, and the frying pan pan didn't burn or stick.
I'm not really one for hot drinks, so haven't tested the boil times or anything. The cup is a cup, but obviously lighter than other materials being made of titanium. 700ml is a decent size, and big enough for a couple of drinks at a time.
Overall its a great set, not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. There's space to add a lighter, in fact I have both bottles, a lighter and a few matches inside with a square of tissue to stop any rattles.
It's a nice step up from my trangia mini, taking up less space and considerably lighter. Those who are lovers of alcohol stoves will know the benefits and limitations of them, if your after an alcohol stove then I think this is definitely worth considering.
