The story behind the FeatherLight 700 Kit
Welcome to the story of the FeatherLight 700 Kit — born from my love of the outdoors and the amazing support of this community.
How it all began
It all started when I built my first cone just for myself. I wanted a cooking system that was as light and compact as possible, something that wouldn’t weigh me down on long hikes. Over the years I’ve been sharing my adventures on YouTube, and many of you have followed along. After a lot of requests, I thought — why not try to make this properly so everyone can enjoy it too?
The idea
The FeatherLight 700 Kit grew out of countless days spent in the hills. Again and again I found that the gear available just wasn’t compact enough. That’s when I decided to take matters into my own hands and create something better, something that really meets the needs of people who love being outdoors.
The design journey
Designing it took time and patience. I wanted to build a system that was super efficient and also stood up well in the wind. In the end, the cone shape was the winner — it just performs brilliantly in all sorts of conditions. I tested it properly in the Scottish Highlands, where the weather never makes life easy, and even did load tests (it stayed solid under 22.5 kg!).
Refining and testing
After many prototypes and tweaks, the FeatherLight 700 Kit finally came together. The titanium build makes it tough and durable while keeping it incredibly light. The whole goal was to create something that lasts, performs reliably, and makes life easier out on the trail.
Why I do this
For me, this project is about more than just gear. It’s about making adventures more enjoyable and accessible. Having the right kit can take away the worries and let you focus on what really matters — the beauty of nature and the freedom of being outside. And honestly, I wouldn’t have got this far without the encouragement and support from all of you.
Join the adventure
The FeatherLight 700 Kit is more than just a piece of equipment — it’s part of my journey and hopefully yours too. Thanks for being here and for being such a big part of this adventure. I can’t wait to see where it goes next.
